January 6th, One Year Later
As we reflect on one year since the insurrection in Washington, D.C., we choose to feel inspired by what those in our VISIONS community said and did as a result.
Last year, we committed to reflect, then get back to work. And, I’m proud to say we did. Not only did we continue to provide our community-strengthening programs in ways that made our messages of respect, equity, and inclusivity even more accessible to more people, we also continued dreaming up new programs and services that carry our message even farther.
I encourage you to use this day to reach out to your elected officials and participate in our legislative process, which is the truest way to defend our democracy. Tell them about the bills you’re passionate about and ask to discuss the importance of voters’ rights. Let’s work as a community of VISIONSaries to strengthen our world in a way that’s grounded in our mission to work through, accept, and overcome our differences.
If you would like to share with the VISIONS community an upcoming piece of legislation that aligns with the VISIONS values, drop it in the comments below. (Note: Comments will be moderated)
