John E. Colon
Consultant
John has considerable experience in team-based management, training, and organizational behavior and development. A lecturer and facilitator, he seeks to motivate others through the application of group relations and systems theories as well as transactional analysis. His studies and research focus on the dynamics of a productive work environment that requires the affirmative integration and alignment of different people focusing to create and maintain a common mission.
John served as the Director of Human Resource Management for 28+ years at the Episcopal Church Center, the church wide offices of the Episcopal Church. He has worked with <a href="http://jbaccess.com"JB Access focusing on the experiences of persons with disabilities in the workplace and society.
John currently serves as an adjunct lecturer in the Management Department at the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College, a senior college of the City University of New York. His prior experience includes serving as an adjunct instructor at the Cornell’s New York State School of Industrial and Labor Relations and NYU’s School of Continuing and Professional Studies.
In addition to degrees from Colgate and Binghamton universities, John’s continuing education includes studies in group relations, human interaction, appreciative inquiry, transactional analysis and The Art of Hosting with the A. K. Rice Institute, NTL Institute for Applied Behavioral Science, VISIONS, Inc., and the Episcopal Church.
