David Schwartz

David Schwartz is a long time social entrepreneur, organizer and trainer focused on issues of racial and economic justice. He currently serves as the Director of Programs at JOIN for Justice, where he leads diverse training programs for Jewish communities around the country on issues of social justice and community organizing. As a co-founder and former Campaign Director of the Real Food Challenge, David spent a decade mobilizing thousands of young people nation-wide to build healthier food systems in their communities. David was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list for social entrepreneurs and awarded an Echoing Green Fellowship for this work. He brings 20+ years of experience leading training on issues of race, oppression and multiculturalism for diverse audiences. David received his B.A. in History from Brown University, where he later taught and served as a Social Entrepreneur in Residence. He currently lives and gardens in Boston, Massachusetts.
