Sarita Evans has over 20 years of business training, public service, and entrepreneurial experience. Prior to working with VISIONS, she and her mother started a business consulting firm called The Entrepreneur Doula that helps BIPOC and women entrepreneurs start and/or grow their businesses. Sarita has spent the last 15 years serving as a Business Trainer, Mentor and Consultant where she combines her love of teaching/mentoring and entrepreneurial expertise to support small business owners to start their own businesses and become financially self-sufficient. Sarita is a Howard University graduate, who majored in Political Science concentrated in Black Politics. She will be attending law school in 2023 to study Human Rights Law so she can add value to her clients as well as contributing her talents to organizations that work for social justice and civil rights. Sarita lives with her son in Atlanta, GA where she moved after living in the Bay Area of California for many years. The distinct difference in political culture has made her deeply conscious of some of the major issues facing BIPOC people in conservative states, and she is committed to making voting accessible and access to resources equitable for all. Sarita has also been a small business owner, so she is acutely aware of the challenges that all small business owners face and is passionate about influencing policy that positively impacts fellow entrepreneurs. She is excited to be involved with the world changing work of VISIONS and is passionate about supporting its clients through their DEI work and transformation.
