VISIONS (Vigorous Interventions in Ongoing Natural Settings) is excited to announce its upcoming 40th Anniversary Celebration. This event will mark four decades of transformative impact as a bridge-building and change-making organization. We cordially invite you to join us on Friday, September 27, 2024, at the State Room in the heart of Boston (MA) for an unforgettable evening.

During our anniversary celebration, you will have the chance to hear from renowned speakers like the legendary activist Gloria Steinem, inclusion strategist Vernā Myers, and social justice leader Bishop William Barber II, who will grace our 40th Celebration event, reaffirming the importance of inclusion in our collective journey.

COVID Policy
VISIONS expects event participants and attendees to comply with CDC, state and local COVID-related guidelines, rules and requirements.We hope guests attending our 40th Anniversary Gala are up-to-date on vaccinations. We encourage guests who would like to wear a mask to do so. If you feel unwell, please stay home. VISIONS reserves the right to adjust our health & safety requirements at any time and will communicate any material changes to our policy to event attendees.

The Renae Gray Award

This award is given to a non-profit leader who demonstrates the ability to maintain multigenerational cross-cultural relationships, inspire hope, instill pride, and demonstrate activism and leadership to foster institutional and cultural change within their community.

The Martha White Warren Award

This award is presented to a young professional of color (under 40 years of age) who has demonstrated outstanding success in their chosen career fields, as well as their commitment and contribution to the community.

The Mary Anne Gale Award

This award is presented to an individual who has been a pillar of their local community over many years. They have demonstrated success in longevity, staying power, reputation in business and have been a catalyst for creating diverse, inclusive, and equitable change within their company. The nominee must be a business owner or partner or senior leader of a business with 30 or more years of operation. 

Larsson Danforth Foundation Award - Foundation of the Year

Social Change Foundation of the year – This award recognizes a public foundation that has embarked on the journey, as demonstrated through its giving, advocacy and focus on structural racism, the critical role that philanthropy can play in the continued work for lasting social change and economic parity.  This foundation is engaged in a transformational approach that allows wealth to be redistributed, power democratized, and economic control shifted to communities in a way that is truly regenerative for people and the planet.

Larsson Danforth Foundation Award - Individual

Culturally responsive Philanthropist of the year – This award recognizes a foundation leader who has demonstrated by and beyond contributions of financial resources and voluntary commitment of time, a willingness to serve in leadership roles. They are providing vision and action in the re-defining of philanthropy’s role in historically excluded communities.
