This conference is the first ever convening of mental health providers (social workers, psychologists, licensed mental health workers), administrators and others working with children and families in urban communities in school, health center, DCF, DYS, and other community-based settings. The two-day conference hosts training, resources, and networking opportunities for providers and explores pressing issues that providers encounter in their work, for example: working with culturally diverse families, understanding violence and the impact of trauma exposure, grief and loss, and self care.
